For Sale is a 2001 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 manual 6 speed, the rare AWD version. The car drives perfectly with no issues. I bought the car in May 2017 with 156k km. It now has 209k km on the odometer.
I don’t really need a car as I only drive it a couple times a week, less than 10k km a year, and accomplished my dream goal with it, going down Highway 1 through California to San Diego from Vancouver last year and the car performed perfectly throughout the 5000km long road trip; so it’s time to let it go.
Comes with Durametric Diagnostic Tool OBD2 reader and a new FOB key and a second key without the remote part working. Also comes with multiple Porsche maintenance books.
The car comes with two sets of rims and tires, summer performance tires and winter tires. The winter tires I bought new last year and have barely driven on them as I don’t typically drive in the snow and prefer to work from home or bike to work. I bought the summer tires in 2019. I got a flat in the rear and had to replace the rear tires, so they are from 2021. They have lots of tread and life left in them.
The previous owner replaced the brakes just before I bought it, sometime in 2016/17. I tend to rev match and engine brake down to 3rd before using the brakes, this reduces wear on the brakes without impacting the friction plate in the clutch. As well, a lot of the milage is highway driving to my parents house (1000km round trip) or elsewhere. So there is a decent amount of life left in them.
Oil was last changed July 14, 2024, I only use 5W 40 LiquiMoly synthetic oil. There is a magnetic oil drain plug of which no metal debris has ever been found on it during oil changes. I have never had to add any oil between oil changes nor have I noticed any smoke out the tailpipe indicative of burning oil or coolant. The tail pipes are free of any carbon deposits too.
As with many cars of this vintage, the paint and body could use some love. There are the typical door dings and scratches from parking lots plus other wear and tear. The front bumper has a fair amount of chips on it. I have recently washed, clay barred, lightly polished and waxed the car which has greatly improved the condition of the paint and removed most of the swirls and light scratches.

Work done by myself since buying the car. To give you confidence in my abilities, I am a very hands-on mechanical engineer. I studied Mechatronics Engineering (mechanical and electrical), so I have knowledge of both mechanical and electrical aspects of cars. I have the shop manual and used the proper torque values for all parts and used blue loctite where required throughout.

Based on the Carfax history report, the car does have a rebuilt title. The accident was reported Nov 19, 2009 with 59,444km on the odometer. No airbags were deployed nor was any structural damage reported (frame or unibody damage). The car spent its life in Washington state and was imported from Washington to Vancouver on July 03, 2010.
Since this car has a rebuilt title, I needed to ensure that all the work done was done well. The affected area was the rear passenger side. In order to ensure that the car was rebuilt to my satisfaction, I replaced all parts that could have been affected by the crash, except the wheel carrier/brakes (wheel bearing was replaced in 2012/13 by Caliber Auto). This includes the passenger side subframe, suspension parts and shock and shock mount. I inspected all areas that could have been affected to assess the extent of the damage. To the best of my knowledge, the unibody was in good shape and was not affected. Since I was replacing the suspension, and for peace of mind, I decided to replace the rear passenger side subframe, as it wasn’t too much extra work and the part was inexpensive.
Overall, I believe the work I put into the car will set up the next owner with many more miles of enjoyment
