Investigation underway after voyeurs secretly film video at home McGregor shared with family during trial
Police are investigating allegations a €1,000-a-night rented AirBnB in Rostrevor, Co. Down – where Conor McGregor and his partner Dee stayed over the course of his civil trial for rape – was subjected to an act of voyeurism mid-trial.
Details of the police probe were confirmed yesterday as posts on Conor McGregor’s official X (formerly Twitter) account sickeningly labelled the fighter’s victim Nikita Hand ‘a vicious liar’ and branded the High Court ‘a kangaroo court’.
McGregor has been ordered to pay €250,000 to Ms Hand after a jury found he had assaulted her at the Beacon Hotel in Dublin on December 9, 2018.
Over the course of the trial, McGregor and his family stayed at a luxury seaside pad in Rostrevor, Co. Down with back garden beach access, a private sauna, an outdoor hot tub and a bar.
The PSNI’s voyeurism probe concerns an incident where a number of individuals secretly videoed a couple as they engaged in an intimate act in a room at the rear of the property, at approximately 12.35am on November 12.
In a statement issued to the Sunday World yesterday, a spokesperson for the PSNI said: “Police received a report of voyeurism concerning a man and woman in the Rostrevor area at approximately 12.35am on Tuesday morning, 12th November.
“Inquires are ongoing, and we would appeal to anyone with any information to contact police on 101 quoting reference 40 12/11/24. You can also report online at www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/.”
It’s understood that portions of the video were later shared on social media – but have since been removed.

Conor McGregor lashes out in vile online rant after losing civil rape case
In one section of the video, the male in the video appears to notice he is being watched from the border of the property and can be seen making a phone-call.
“He’s ringing the f**king security,” one of the alleged peepers is heard say on the recording.
Hours before the videos began circulating, MMA fighter McGregor – who is facing bills for damages and legal costs of approximately €1milllion in the wake of the trial – had denied on the stand in the High Court having set his friend James Lawrence up as a ‘patsy’ for the alleged rape of Nikita Hand.
On Friday, the same jury that found McGregor had assaulted Ms Hand in the Beacon Hotel but found that James Lawrence had not assaulted her.
And yesterday, less than 24 hours after the jury returned their verdicts, a series of outrageous statements concerning Ms Hand, the proceedings and the High Court itself were published on McGregor’s official ‘X’ account.
In response to coverage of the trial under the headline ‘Justice has been served’ – the account sickeningly stated: “Justice was served for James Lawrence, yes! Deplorable what they done. Nikita Hand, vicious liar! Appeal!”
Another section of a statement published on the site read: “A court of feeling and opinion, brainwashed into people via the main stream media. Not of fact! The reporting in court a laughing stock to everyone present.
“As clear as day bias. This is not a court of hard evidence and truth. It is a kangaroo court of opinions and feelings. We are not done yet.”
The posts followed a previous post on Friday evening in which McGregor account confirmed he would be appealing the sentence.
The UFC star and his associate James Lawrence were both sued by hair colourist Ms Hand (35) who said she was raped by both men at a Dublin hotel in December 2018. Both men denied the claims and said that the sex was consensual. All three gave evidence during the trial.
While McGregor appeared emotional in the immediate aftermath of the jury’s verdict in the High Court, he displayed a carefree attitude during his time in Rostrevor with Dee their four children: Conor Jr (seven), Croía (five), Rían (three), and 11-month-old Mack.
McGregor shared photos and videos following the first week of the trial showing him enjoying a weekend filled with activities including beach walks.
The property, located between the Mourne Mountains and Carlingford Lough, can be rented on Airbnb for €1,037 per night.
McGregor’s loved-up display with fiancée Dee and his family came after the High Court heard the UFC star deny rape and instead claim “athletic” sex with Nikita Hand after a night of partying and taking cocaine.
Dee, who was in court on Friday to support him as he awaited the jury’s verdict, was heavily pregnant at this time and gave birth to the couple’s second child just weeks later.
